These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Hogly (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) and also serve as the end user license agreement for the Hogly app and related services.

01

Agreement to these terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Hogly or hogly.app, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use Hogly for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for yourself and that organization. If you do not agree, do not use Hogly.

You must be legally able to enter this agreement. Hogly is not directed to children under 13.

02

License

Subject to these terms and Apple’s usage rules, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to install and use Hogly on Apple devices that you own or control.

Hogly is licensed, not sold. Except where applicable law expressly permits it, you may not copy, rent, lease, sell, redistribute, reverse engineer, decompile, attempt to derive source code from, or create derivative works of Hogly.

03

What Hogly provides

Hogly is an independent client for PostHog that lets you view and manage supported PostHog features from Apple devices. Hogly is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by PostHog Inc.

Available features depend on your device, Hogly version, subscription or purchase status, PostHog deployment and permissions, network access, and third-party availability. We may add, change, limit, or discontinue features and may release updates needed for security or compatibility.

04

Connected accounts and workspaces

You are responsible for the accounts, OAuth grants, Personal API Keys, projects, and data you connect to Hogly. You must have permission from the applicable workspace owner and must follow your organization’s security, privacy, retention, and acceptable-use policies.

Do not use Hogly to access data or take actions beyond your authorization. You are responsible for reviewing the scope and consequences of changes you make through Hogly, including edits to feature flags, insights, surveys, annotations, and other PostHog resources.

PostHog and self-hosted services are third-party systems. Their availability, data, APIs, and terms are outside our control. Your use of them remains subject to your agreement with their operator.

05

Purchases and subscriptions

  1. Hogly may offer one-time purchases, free trials, and auto-renewing subscriptions. Available products and prices appear in the app and App Store and may vary by region.
  2. Apple processes payment using your Apple Account. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
  3. A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple may charge your account within 24 hours before renewal.
  4. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Deleting Hogly does not cancel a subscription.
  5. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription where applicable.
  6. A lifetime purchase is a one-time purchase for the version and features offered under that product. Use Restore Purchases to recover eligible purchases associated with your Apple Account.

Refund decisions for App Store transactions are made by Apple under its policies. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

06

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Hogly unlawfully or to violate another person’s rights;
  • access a project, account, person record, or credential without authorization;
  • bypass security, entitlement, rate-limit, or payment controls;
  • interfere with Hogly, its infrastructure, or third-party services;
  • upload malicious, unlawful, or rights-infringing content through support features; or
  • use automated means to overload or extract from the service beyond normal product use.

You retain responsibility for content you choose to send to support and grant us the limited permission needed to host, process, and respond to it.

07

Ownership and trademarks

Hogly’s code, interface, artwork, text, and branding are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.

“PostHog” is a trademark of PostHog Inc. Apple, App Store, iPhone, and iPad are trademarks of Apple Inc. References identify compatibility or third-party services and do not imply endorsement.

08

Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hogly is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or compatibility with every PostHog feature or deployment.

Analytics, summaries, AI output, notifications, and other information displayed by Hogly are operational aids, not legal, financial, security, or professional advice. Verify important information in the source system before making consequential decisions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from Hogly. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

09

Suspension, termination, and changes

You may stop using and uninstall Hogly at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to Hogly-operated services if reasonably necessary to protect users or infrastructure, comply with law, respond to misuse, or enforce these terms.

We may update these terms as Hogly or applicable requirements change. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice when a change is material. Continuing to use Hogly after updated terms take effect means you accept them.

10

Apple and third-party terms

Your use of Hogly is also subject to the applicable Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Hogly.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce the terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

11

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve a dispute informally.

Questions about these terms can be sent to hi@hogly.app.
